It's impossible to start a GiveNOLA Day without remembering our founder Ms. Linda Jackson. She gave her all fighting to restore her beloved Lower 9th Ward neighborhood, and after her passing in May 2020, her daughter asked us to do the same. As we move through the 16th year since our founding, the Lower 9th Ward Homeownership Association (L9WHA) continues to build upon her LEGACY. And we believe our Resident-Driven Revitalization Green Infrastructure (GI) Project honors Linda, by following in her footsteps, and utilizing GI to preserve the LEGACY of homeownership in the L9.
