Dear Friends of the Lower 9,

You outpoured your gifts of love and financial support in 2021. We enjoyed reading your letters of support and words of encouragement. Thank you for your continued support of the L9WHA.As a valued supporter, you've chosen to be a part of a community of people who are committed to preserving and revitalizing the Lower 9. In 2021, we were able to save thirty-nine homes, and thanks to your generosity, we are positioned to protect the LEGACY of homeownership for even more residents in 2022.

In 2021, supporters like you contributed $36,894.60 to carry out the mission of the L9WHA.

During the End of the Year Campaign:

21 people individually donated $5300.34

19 of these people we have come to count on for their support, while

2 people joined us as new members of this incredible family

2 individuals joined the Krewe of House the 9 as sustaining donors, donating and pledging $620.88

24 existing members of the Krewe of House the 9 made their monthly donations of $1960

$2454.60 was raised in company matches

$5,000 was given by our incredible partners Tony and Tony to match your phenomenal outpouring of generosity

Partnership Impact

Because of YOUR End of the Year generosity, the Lower 9th Ward Homeownership Assocaition hosted its 1st Annual MLK Day of Service in the Lower 9. In partnership with the L9 Neighborhood Association, the Leona Tate Foundation for Change, CORE, AETNA, and SOUL, we welcomed 170 volunteers to plant 60 trees and cleared 72 bags of trash. Not only were we able to honor Martin Luther King Jr's LEGACY of service, we came together as a community to continue the revitalization of our historic neighborhood

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the L9WHA

Celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans by joining the Krewe of House the 9 TODAY. Support us as we work to save teh LEGACY of homeownership in the Lower 9th Ward. The Krewe of House the 9 exists to uplift and partner with residents of the Lower 9th Ward in their determination to continue the LEGACY of homeownership left to them by their parents and grandparents.

All NEW recurring donations established between February 17 and Mardi Gras Day (March 1) will receive a KH9 signature throw.
