Blueberry Hill Homes Waiting List Opens Monday July 9

The Housing Authority of New Orleans has just announced the re-opening of the waiting list for a number of developments - including Blueberry Hill Homes, a scattered site development in the Lower 9th Ward.

APPLICATION PERIOD BEGINS JULY 9 - first come, first served - and ends on July 27 at 4:00 p.m. The sooner you apply, the more likely you are to receive help.

There is already a long waiting list for Blueberry Hill, but this may be the only opportunity to be added to it for a very long time.

Pre-applications can only be submitted online. Here is the website for submitting a pre-application: https://hano.apply4housing.com/ If some some reason that isn't working, go to www.hano.org. There should be a red banner across the top with information. You can use either a phone or a computer to complete the pre-application.

The Lower 9th Ward Homeownership Association will be providing assistance to members of the Lower 9th Ward community who cannot complete an online application themselves. Please call us at 504-943-6000 to set an appointment.

HANO also provides assistance with completing the online application at their office, located at 4100 Touro Street, NOLA 70122, or by calling the Special Programs Department at (504) 670-3375 or Admissions Department at (504) 670-3284.

Before you begin the application process, you should have available social security numbers, names, dates of birth, and annual income of all family members. Also have paper and pen ready to write down your confirmation number.

Eligibility is based on household income, citizenship, and ability to meet screening requirements. HANO will review pre-application regarding eligibility before placing you on the waiting list.
